The highlight of the Cambridge science and technology scene is upon us. Entries are open for the 2021-22 Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards and we’re proud to once again be involved as a sponsor.
The awards have evolved since their inception in 2017 when there were just five categories, and are now seen as an integral part of the Cambridge science landscape celebrating the very best innovation and attracting upwards of 100 entries.
There’s always a high calibre of competitors with previous winners including bit.bio, Healx, Evonetix and Owlstone Medical.
It’s a real privilege to play a part in the awards and this will be our fourth year as a sponsor. We put our support behind either Medtech Company of the Year or Biotech Company of the Year and this year we are sponsoring the latter.
It’s always fantastic to see Park companies on the shortlist with Cambridge Epigenetix and Nodthera shortlisted in recent years while Sarah Howell of Arecor was in the running for CEO of the year in 2020. Microbiotica was highly commended in 2020 for Life Science Company of the Year.
We have high hopes we’ll be seeing familiar names from around the Park community shortlisted again this year.
With other categories including Start-up of the Year and Award for Innovation, entering is an excellent opportunity for companies to showcase their achievements to peers and the public.
The winners are announced at a glittering ceremony, which last year was held virtually. We very much hope that this year’s ceremony will be an in-person event, allowing us all to get together once again to celebrate the very best of life science and tech research, development and innovation in our area.
Nominations will be open to the end of the year with judging taking place in January.
Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to celebrate the work you do or to nominate the work of a company you admire. Enter now.
All the categories and criteria can be found on the Cambridge Independent website which also hosts an online entry form Enter the Cambridge Independent Science and Technology Awards 2021-22
