The Nucleus

The 22,000 square foot central facilities hub is home to top quality support services for occupiers and visitors, including modern conference facilities, a gym, award winning restaurant, café bar, taxi shuttle and coach services.

Golf Course

For those with a preference for outdoor sport, Chesterford has its own 7-hole, par 3, golf course. Park tenants and gym members are encouraged to use this unique on-site facility between Monday and Friday from dawn to dusk.

Getting Here

Chesterford Research Park is ideally located within the South Cambridgeshire biotech cluster within touching distance of Cambridge, major road network links, Stansted Airport and central London.


We are conscious of being able to offer ways of getting to and from the Park which offer a more sustainable commute. In addition to the daily coach and shuttle bus services the Park is also part of the Liftshare commuting scheme. This scheme enables you to connect with others undertaking the same journey and get together to carshare, thereby saving costs and the environment! We operate a daily coach service, picking up from two central Cambridge locations in the morning, which return via the same route at the end of the day.

  • 08.20: Arrive Chesterford Research Park

  • 17.10: Depart Chesterford Research Park
  • 17.30: Arrive Red Cross Lane
  • 17.45: Arrive Botanic Gardens (opposite Centennial Hotel, Cambridge)

  • 08.10: Depart Centennial Hotel, Cambridge
  • 08.20: Depart Red Cross Lane
  • 08.50: Arrive Chesterford Research Park

  • 17.45: Depart Chesterford Research Park
  • 18.05: Arrive Red Cross Lane

Cost and tickets
Tickets cost £2.50 each way and are available from the Restaurant till-points between the hours of 8am–3pm Monday to Friday. Should a ticket be required at short notice, Security will hold a small stock for such occasions. Please note that if you do not produce a valid ticket you will be unable to travel.

To ensure the correct vehicle is boarded all Coaches will display a sign showing “Chesterford Research Park” in the front window. The drop off and collection point at the Park will be from the main entrance of The Nucleus.

Park Cars operate a Shuttle and Taxi Service, available to all Park Tenants and Guests. Services include morning and evening shuttle bus services to/from Great Chesterford Station, airport transfers, stations, local destinations and pre-arranged mail/parcel movements.

There is a charge of £2.50 per journey.

Park Cars operate the Shuttle Bus Service from 07.30 – 09.15 and 16.50 - 18.10, Monday – Friday, transporting passengers to/from Great Chesterford Station.

Outside these hours Park Cars operates a Taxi Service for Tenants and their visitors, offering both local and long distance transport solutions. Example costs:

  • Great Chesterford Station: £10.00
  • Addenbrookes: £25.00
  • Cambridge Station: £28.00
  • Stansted Airport: £32.00
  • Heathrow Airport: £120.00

Costs for other destinations, plus 6 and 8 seater vehicles available on request.

Trains from Cambridge operate approximately every 30 minutes during the morning and evening commutes and at hourly intervals during the rest of the day. The journey time by rail from Cambridge to Great Chesterford is under 20 minutes. Central London is one hour away with trains running regularly from both Audley End and Great Chesterford stations.
