Cambridge-born Dominic Cappell brings an array of technical experience to Proclinical Executive, having started his career as a scientist working in the medical devices and IVD field. 

As economic conditions put a strain on the recruitment sector, Proclinical – which specialises exclusively in providing talent for biopharmaceutical, biotech and medical technology companies – has continued to expand its teams in the UK, US, and Asia Pacific. 

The business says it has adapted well to coronavirus-induced travel restrictions and social distancing rules, utilising its global infrastructure and shifting seamlessly to video interviewing and remote hiring.

Proclinical Executive’s office at Chesterford Research Park launched in March just days before the UK-wide coronavirus lockdown restrictions were imposed.

The company says that In this short timeframe, it has helped life science organisations hire a number of senior roles, including director of business development, chief operating officer, finance director, global head of marketing and CEO. 

This success with partners operating within niche scientific areas has made it necessary to create a new position within the team, to which Cappell has been appointed.

Cappell worked in a variety of positions within research and development, IP and quality assurance at Cambridgeshire-based organisations before making the switch to recruitment in 2017.
