We're so excited to announce the winner of the 'Postcards from the Park' photography competition is Justine Whitworth from Microbiotica with her photo of our beautiful Newnham pond. The pond is easy to pass by but it's a real highlight within our parkland landscape. This image captures its calm tranquility beautifully, whilst highlighting this sometimes hidden gem!
We'd also like to congratulate our runners up:
Lisa Markey at Microbiotica with her photo of bullrushes.
Robert Thatcher from Oncologica with his bee on a flower.
Hannah Birgani from Oncologica with the caterpillar close up on a leaf.
Aggie Durkin at Illumina for her butterfly with open wings.
We choose the four detail shots as they really embody the natural ecosystem that thrives here at the Park. The Park is alive with all manner of flora and fauna and we felt this selection of images really captured the diversity we enjoy here. We'd like to thank everyone who took part, to view all the entries please scroll down.
The winning photograph will be turned into our Park postcard, and a compilation postcard will be created using the runner up images.
Previous Autumnal Photography Winners!
Our second Park Photography Competition inspired many of you to get out and about to capture our wonderful, parkland setting as we move gracefully into Autumn! The autumnal colours were captured beautifully across all the entries and once again we were very impressed with both the number of entries and the standard of shots.
Congratulations to our winners, who were:
First Prize: Robert Thatcher, Oncologica (left)
Second Prize: Clint Hough, AstraZeneca (middle)
Third Prize: Mengjie Li, Cambridge Epigenetix (right)
