Management
Management and Co-ordination Chesterford Research Park is a well-established research site offering a high
quality environment for a range of research companies. The Park has undergone
a period of considerable change in recent years since the previous single occupier,
Aventis, withdrew from the site.
The Churchmanor Estates Company plc and Morley Fund Management are undertaking
a significant programme of redevelopment of existing buildings, services and additional
landscaping, in addition to planning new purpose built R & D facilities.
From the outset, Property Management Agents have been working with the development
team, focusing on maintaining building services and park facilities for existing
tenants and assisting with future Park development activities.
Katherine Maguire
In March 2003, Katherine Maguire was appointed to the post of Park Manager. Katherine
joins the Park with extensive experience of facilities management (FM) at multi-site
locations. Until recently Katherine was managing FM service delivery to a range
of non-retail sites for Sainsburys. Prior to this Katherine has managed FM services
within the Finance sector, has managed a residential training centre in rural
Hampshire and held various management positions with leading Hotel Groups.
Katherine is responsible for the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the
Park, including Maintenance and Engineering, Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance,
Security, Reception, Catering, Cleaning, Waste Management and Health and Safety.
Regular liaison with companies on the Park is also essential in order to understand
and meet the needs of the ever-changing research business.
Katherine's responsibilities also include the development of the Park in
terms of facilities and on site services. Opportunities to promote the Park to
interested parties, both within the research sector and local community, will
be maximised. This year there are plans to host a number of events for park occupiers
including a golf tournament and summer BBQ.
