CHESTERFORD RESEARCH PARK APPOINTS
JEFFERSONS
COMMERCIAL TO MANSION HOUSE LETTINGS CAMPAIGN

Joint Developers of Chesterford Research Park, The Churchmanor
Estates Plc and Morley Fund Management, have appointed Jeffersons
Commercial LLP, a leading Cambridge-based commercial property
agency, to assist the office letting programme at its Mansion
House building.
The Jeffersons Commercial team was selected on the strength
of its expertise and contacts within the Cambridge office
market, and its ability to work with the two existing retained
advisors, AtisReal and Carter Jonas. The team assigned is
Ben Oughton (partner) and Howard Westgate (associate), who
bring a strong reputation for their pro-active approach and
determination to drive through successful deals.
Martin Sylvester, Director of The Churchmanor Estates Plc
commented: “The additional presence of Jeffersons Commercial
in our key Cambridge office market was an important consideration
in their appointment, and this will help bring about the
final letting of the suites within the Mansion House. I am
delighted to welcome them to the team.”
The Mansion House is located at the heart of the Chesterford
Research Park, opposite the arboretum. Originally built in
the late 19th century, this period building was recently
refurbished to provide flexible office suites, available
from 342 sq ft to 1,869 sq ft. together with shared kitchen
and facilities.
Ben Oughton, partner of Jeffersons Commercial, said: “The
Mansion House provides outstanding office facilities within
the Park and the local area. We are greatly looking forward
to adding value to the existing lettings campaign through
our detailed knowledge of the local occupier market.”
The Mansion House is a unique building within Chesterford
Research Park, providing small, flexible accommodation specifically
for start-up and associated companies both from the scientific
and wider business worlds. From the type of space available
to the highly flexible lease packages on offer, every aspect
of the Mansion House has been tailored to attract local up-and-coming
businesses. The Vari-lease package at Mansion House has been
created to give incoming tenants the opportunity to take
a one year contract or a longer lease with break options
after the first year in occupation.
Since its completion earlier this year, Mansion House has
so far attracted three exciting occupiers from the science
and biotechnology worlds; namely, CellCentric, Medivir and
Cambridge Healthcare & Biotech.
