Park News13th September 2006 AGENTS TURN TO CLUBS AND MALLETS AT CHESTERFORD RESEARCH PARK More than 25 London and regional property agents attended a 3 club golf masters session at Chesterford Research Park’s 7-hole golf course on last week. The event marked the launch of marketing for the park's Emmanuel Laboratory and Mansion buildings. For non-golfers, agents went head to head in a croquet tournament aided by much needed instruction from members of the Newport Croquet Club. Martin Sylvester, Director at The Churchmanor Estates plc, joint developer at Chesterford Research Park with Morley Fund Management, said: “We had a fantastic turn out and once again the weather held out for us. Non-golfers settled scores over croquet and we took the opportunity of having so many guests on site to provide a briefing on activity at the park, followed by a BBQ on the terrace at the Nucleus. “The consensus from the agents is that the Emmanuel Laboratory will set a new standard for speculative laboratory facilities on a national scale. It is a truly flexible 41,000 sq ft building and provides chemistry and biotech tenants with the ability to occupy a range of self contained laboratories from 10,000 sq ft upwards." The building is being constructed to a shell and core specification and will be ready for tenant’s fitting out in the first quarter of next year. In addition The Mansion is fast approaching the end of an extensive programme of refurbishment to provide a variety of office suites to let, on virtually inclusive rents. Totalling c.10,000 sq ft, the building which will be ready for occupation in early October, occupies a superb position at the heart of the research park and has already attracted pre -launch lettings on two of the twelve suites.
