I Healthy Menus Earn Uttlesford Heartbeat Award Tip top hygiene standards and healthy choices on the menu are among the key ingredients to have earned a group of food providers an Uttlesford Heartbeat award. The prestigious award from Uttlesford District Council is given to caterers for achieving high standards of hygiene both in the kitchens and for their staff, in recognition of their non-smoking eating areas, and perhaps most importantly, their healthy choices on the menu. The Nucleus Restaurant at Chesterford Research Park, itself an award winner, hosted the awards ceremony on the evening of Monday 11 December . David Colledge, Catering Manager, and his Team were presented with a Gold Award for their achievements. Chairman of the Community Committee Councillor David Morson is presenting the awards to the five winners at the first ever awards ceremony in the district for this prestigious mark of recognition. He said: “Increased benefits of healthy eating have become more and more recognised. I am very pleased to be part of a scheme which translates awareness into action and celebrates those organisations dedicated to bringing about such improvements.”
