CHESTERFORD RESEARCH PARK GETS AWARDED FOR ITS ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS

Chesterford Research Park has been awarded a Gold level corporate membership by the Essex Wildlife Trust – a charity which works to secure a better future for the wildlife and people of Essex.

Katherine Maguire (Chesterford Park’s Manager) received the award from Jim Heywood (Corporate Officer of the Essex Wildlife Trust) who welcomed the Park to the Trust’s Corporate scheme as a gold member. He also praised Chesterford Research Park for its commitment to reducing its environmental impact and to protecting the wildlife heritage of Essex.

Jim Heywood, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Chesterford Research Park as a gold member of the Trust’s Corporate Scheme and hope that our partnership will be a long and valuable one”.

Set in 250 acres of open parkland on the Essex/Cambridgeshire border, Chesterford Research Park offers a landscaped rural setting with lakes and an arboretum which shelter a diverse range of wildlife. The Park was laid out in the 18th/19th century “English Landscape style” around The Mansion – a Victorian county house that is the centrepiece of the Park.

Katherine Maguire, Park Manager commented: “Our commitment to provide the Park’s community with the best working environment goes beyond normal practice - here at Chesterford Research Park, we value the park’s heritage which is why we are happy to support The Essex Wildlife Trust”.
